Hi - my name is Briana!

I am a Japanese-American artist, born and raised in Southern California.
I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and studied Graphic Illustration - a combination of graphic design and illustration in one major. I thoroughly enjoyed living in the Bay Area for over a decade! I now reside in Portland, Oregon with my husband, two daughters and tuxedo cat, Stella.

As an artist, I try to challenge myself with different media as well as different approaches to the drawing process, which creates a challenge for me and often results in growth. My work tends to be more linear with a play on shape - the interaction between the two is what interests me. I try to push limits between movement and balance, as well as include an essence of effortlessness and simplicity.

My work includes, but is not limited to: portraits, fashion illustration, editorial illustration, product illustration, visual displays, beauty as well as live drawing at events all over the country. I have traveled to Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Dallas, New York and other locations for live drawing. I am always interested in expanding my portfolio and jumping into new projects, so please reach out if you’d like to work together!
